Watching a movie with Jonathan Hickman and discussing it. Awesome idea!

As this movie has some of the best world building I’ve ever seen, I think this is an AMAZING idea!

I would love to discuss Children of Men with other fans.

This is one of my top five favorite movies ever, so I’m definitely in.

I love this both as a thread and as a shared event. I will be attending a wedding at that time so I will not get to join this time however. I remember thinking that Micheal Caine's dubstep scene really making so curious about this character and the world it was nurtured and neutered by not to mention making me laugh my ass off

I think watching together isn't necessarily required, but a live chat to discuss would be fun. On Zoom or Discord perhaps

I agree with Jim G below, though if you three are going to watch it at a specific time, you can definitely post that and people can sync it up.

This is one of my favorite sci-fi movies, so I'm psyched to talk with others about it.

(Sidenote: If you didn't know, there are a few different ways to actually watch films together and chat on the side, which might be neat if you want to look into it. (Disney+ has "GroupWatch" and Teleparty is a Chrome extension that might work.)

My recommendation / suggestion would be to pick a day in the near future, like a week from now, and ask people to watch the movie by then. The publish a new blog entry and get the conversation started. Maybe a couple of observations from the team and some questions for us, your readers. Stress that people can write whaever they want about the movie (and in terms of world building) and the questions are just icebreakers to get past the “Ummm…” phase. Reserve a few of your thoughts to respond to the reader comments.

While it sounds fun to all watch it at the same time and have a conversation live, my experience is that it rarely works as well as it sounds and it’s hard to actually pay attention to the movie. You get too busy reading comments and figuring out what you want to comment on yourself. That sort of thing works best when you have a watch party with a small face-to-face group conversation. I think folks would still enjoy chatting with you after you post about it. Plus, no one is left out or alienated. But I’m cool with whatever you choose to do.

I need to watch it on my own time but I will try to do it in order to be present for the chat.

Just saw the movie for the first time. Expected more. Hyped for the comments, though.

Not going to lie, living in Japan makes for a time difference that lessens the appeal of this. I stayed up for the Morrison interview under the impression it would be more interactive (a misunderstanding on my part), and considered it a let down. I'm just getting more and more Masterclass vibes from this experience.

I would love to synch and discuss, but much like the Morrison interview, it's tough for people who work weekend hours. I will definitely be watching and looking forward to seeing how the process we've been going through with 3W3M is applied to this amazing movie. Been many years since I've watched. This is a great suggestion.

Also, that opening scene with the bombing 😱

Love this idea. It's interactive but with a nicely low barrier for entry. Plus it's essentially audience research so may yield some interesting bits of insight which could be universally applicable.

I am totally into this idea, as this is easily one of my top five favorite films of all time, but I'm also watching Fantastic Fest at home this week, so I can't wait to read your comments.
