You’re back!
Wow, remember a week ago when people were like, “there’s no way that Seth Rogen and Paul Rudd are ever going to be in a commercial where Seth Rogen marries a ZombieGhost, and they do the Horah at the reception.” Boy, do a lot of you have egg on your face!
But have no fear, like last night’s Buffalo cauliflower my wife makes me eat (Thanks for nothing, food blogs!), I am back with more 3W/3M goodness and good news!
To bring you up to speed with the goings-on going on, last week gave us a chance to meet our book designer Sasha E. Head and announce three new artists who are going to make us look really good over the next few stories.
However, my first week on the job has been mainly spent digesting a LOT of the planning that is going on under the hood and off the screen, stories that will take us deep into the decade as our new world grows.
Later this week, you’re going to see more fruits of that labor with the debut of an all-new comics story (Christian Ward!) and a much-feared Livestream with myself and Jonathan. (So basically, I’m back to buffalo cauliflower for the rest of the week so I can avoid the “Zoom 25”!)

UPDATE! BREAKING!
Last week I announced the need for a name for this humble column, and we received plenty.
Some interesting that reflect our story and themes:
Cyclic Missives
Academy Dispatch
Signal
Ordo Comms
Some fun:
Goodnight, Moons
Khor Quality Control Division
And some you should just be collectively ashamed of:
Taking a Wack at it
SWSM: Stephen Wacker’s Sensual Messages.
Randy
In the end, though, there can only be one winner, and that winner is one of the first entries we received with a suggestion so obvious and awesome I can’t believe I didn’t think of it myself if only so I could have avoided being associated with anything “Sensual.”
So, take a moment, 3W3Mers, to revel in the new name for this weekly writin’… 3Q3A
And as promised, the lucky suggestion-maker gets an appearance in this very column. So please give a warm “hello” as our winner takes center stage… (cue the vuvuzela) …here he is:
It’s…
…Elliot Metz
(Keep staring.)
Elliot Metz
YOU SHALL KNOW HIS NAME!!
Elliot Metz!
Wow. What a moment. Look at him up there. Quite a feat!
Congrats, Elliot! You clearly have an amazing writing career ahead of you! (And thanks sincerely for being one of Day One subscribers!)
It’s settled. 3Q3A will be at the top of this screed next week. And to make sure we live up to the promise of the 3Q3A nomenclature, we need questions from you! So, make sure and leave them either in the comments or by emailing info@3worlds3moons.com.
(I won’t spoil secrets, but I LOOOOVE teasing the future.)
Bits of business:
-Substack Link-of-the-Week:
Every few days, Molly’s newsletter is populated by chapters of current and past work that highlight her incredibly deft facility for cartooning, dialogue, and heartbreakingly emotional storytelling.
I first saw her work on The Witch Boy graphic novel a few years back, and it was clear this was someone to watch.
She also recently posted a 10-part “graphic novel class” that is one of the best primers I’ve ever seen for taking the plunge into that world.
Give it a click and find out what the fuss is about!
ONE NOTE: Molly will, from time to time, tackle some 18+ topics and content, but those are always labeled as such if it’s not your bag.
-Comic of the week: Grendel by Matt Wagner.
Since the 80s, Matt Wagner has been slow-burning an epic that is one of the biggest, broadest stories ever told in any medium. Every few years, a new chapter expands the world in new ways.
The latest(…and hopefully not last) Devil's Odyssey wrapped up last year, and with news of a TV show coming this year, now’s the right time to jump in so you can be one of those people at parties that says, “y’know that show was actually based on what we in the know call a ‘novelle graphique’ ”
And that’s it for our 2nd edition!
We will see you back here in a couple of days for an original story (with, as I’ve mentioned, killer art by Christian Ward!) that begins defining a new aspect of 3W3M universe!
(Okay…fine! Just for Elliot, here’s a peek…
Make sure and get those questions in!
Viva Templar!
