[DISPATCH] NYCC and the Next 3W/3M Creative Summit
The 3 Worlds / 3 Moons team is headed to New York.
Welcome back to the [DISPATCH], a weekly direct report from us to you, with news, recaps, exclusive content and more.
This week is New York Comic Con, and we’ve got some very cool news to share: you’re going to get the chance to hang out with the 3 Worlds / 3 Moons team LIVE and in person.
Before we get into that, a reminder these special community events will only be available for our paid subscribers, so if you’re not already one of them, you know what you need to do to participate:
3 Worlds / 3 Moons is a reader-supported initiative. If you like what we’re doing and want to get access to great comics, events, exclusive merch and discounts from EMPORIA, and want more from us, please:
To get even more, you can also upgrade to THE CIRCLE:
After doing several conventions last year, we pulled back this year so we could focus and spend time on where we’re headed and what we’re delivering for you. That means more comics, more new experiences, and more physical rewards. We’ll have updates on rewards timing very soon, but we also wanted to know that we miss you- while we’re not setting up a booth at New York Comic Con, we will be in New York – and we want to see you.
First up, on Sunday, October 15th at 6:30pm eastern, we’ll be hosting an in-person meetup for members of THE CIRCLE, with Jonathan, Mike, Mike, Nick and likely more special guests in attendance. It’ll be a fantastic way to cap off the show weekend if you’re attending (or if you’re just local). We’ll have venue details and more later this week.
Not only that, but directly after the show wraps, The latest 3 Worlds / 3 Moons Creative Summit is happening October 16 and October 17. We’ll be signing Year Two rewards for THE CIRCLE, continuing to chart the course for years of upcoming stories, and a whole lot more. This also means we’re going to be able to offer not one but two opportunities for you to rub shoulders with the 3W/3M team in the coming days:
On Tuesday, October 17th, we’ll host a livestream from the summit, open to all paid subscribers who want to attend virtually. We’ll answer questions, drop some hints about what went down at the summit, and talk about the upcoming year.
More info (including start time) will drop later this week, as well, so keep an eye out for your [INVITATION] and specific details on both events.
And rest assured, we’ll be talking about plans to see more of you, live and in person, across 2024 – especially if you’re a member of THE CIRCLE, our premium membership tier. If you haven’t upgraded yet, you can do so at any time:
And with that, let’s check out the week that was…
[Q&A] We spoke with Brent Schoonover, the Midwestern Man of Mystery and [MAPS] artist, about his story, creating impactful characters in a short story, his career, and a whole lot more.
[COMICS] The latest [MAPS] story is live! Artists Brent Schoonover, Rafael Pérez Granados and Chris Sotomayor take you on a journey to a strange and wondrous museum, the MUZEO DE KLERA, and visit with two people who reconnect within it.
[PROCESS] Mike del Mundo explored his design process for the Muzeo appearing in the newest [MAPS] release, including how a classic children’s game moved the aesthetic in an unexpected direction.
[LIVE DRAW] The 3W/3M team of Mike del Mundo, Mike Huddleston, Jonathan Hickman, and Molly Mahan all joined the latest LIVE DRAW, chopping it up while Mike an Mike drew and taking your questions from the Chat. Paid subscribers can check out the replay any time.
This week we’ll welcome back Brent Schoonover for his own [PROCESS] post on MUZEO DE KLERA, plus information on how to meet up with the 3W/3M creative team in New York. Stay tuned!
Great! I can't wait to see everyone.
Thank you for this update! I got to meet the crew at the LA party when they were in town for signing year-one rewards goodies, and that gathering was such a great night. Hope we get to do it on this coast again someday!
Meanwhile, I sent an email a few days ago looking for assistance with my subscription status. I went to renew my Founders (Circle) membership and found my status in "my account" saying I'm on a "trial" status till Dec 15, with no option to make a renewal payment. Definitely want to renew my Circle membership for another year and not miss out on any of the content for founders/paid subscribers, but seems I'm going to need some info/help to do this. I don't see any help through Substack itself anymore except for pre-written FAQ articles that don't address anything like this.
Is it possible to get some help with this, please? Thank you!
