This is awesome. I first read Dune 25 years ago, but never deleved into any artwork based on it beyond book covers. At a guess, I think that image of Jessica might be of her in the conservatory/Weirding Room in the Arrakeen Keep.
I'd never seen the Sienkiewicz drawings before, had no idea he'd adapted it. That drawing and the one you guys shared reminds me more of the depiction from the movie than any images I've seen.
What are rapidographs mentioned in the second drawing and how did they change artwork?
