Jeez, man. That page looks outstanding already. So glad to be a part of this, I'm on the edge of my seat wondering where this will all lead.

This is so rad! Been a founder since day 1 and have love every minute of it!

I think part of this that is overlooked, that brings me a lot of happiness is that 3W3M helps me get money straight to the creators I love rather that through a company taking a huge chunk. Thanks guy. Quick question, I've been thinking of getting my comic loving nephew a gift subscription but I hadn't decided if he had hit the right age yet. He just turned 12, I mean a very intelligent 12 year old but still a 12 year old. Thoughts?

If everything only goes to the founders, what incentive is there to be an annual subscriber?

Annual subscribers get a print edition of the book as well. Read more here: https://3w3m.substack.com/p/now-through-41222-subscribe-and-get?s=w

Great update, glad to hear things are going well and there's a solid foundation of supporters. I can't wait to see how things continue to progress, feels like you've been really picking up speed for a bit now and things are moving quick!

Just curious if there was a goal or expectation when this project began, and how things are comparing to that goal at this point in time. Mostly curious about number of subscribers vs. what was expected or even what is needed to sustain the current model. Thanks for all the killer work already, excited for the future.

Hey Harrison, thanks for this. We'd squarely put this in the "exceeded expectations" camp, though to be honest, we really didn't know what to expect when we started as no one had ever done this before. But while we can certainly sustain the current model with our current level of support, there's a lot more we'd like to do: make more comics, hire more creators, etc. and that's where continued support makes a difference.

Have loved what the teams has done. And the addition of Wacker in the past year was a beautiful surprise. So excited to get the Sourcebook and give a full read through to all the background and ephemera.

Jonathan: any special plans at HeroesCon this year? What's the best way for Founders to connect with you (aka not stalk you) there?

It's great to hear you've got plans to keep going - and that next year will be even bigger. But at this stage I'm honestly not sure whether I will want to keep my subscription going without a clear understanding of what benefits I get as a paid subscriber? So much of what we get seems to be available for non-paid. I look at some of the other substacks I've subscribed to - e.g. Lemire and Zdarsky - and they are churning out multiple comics that are only available to paid subscribers every week.

Apologies to be so negative, but I'm hoping it's something you can answer, because if I'm feeling it, I'm sure I'm not the only one. And the potential here is all so big and exciting and so I want to be able to keep supporting!

Hey Matt, thanks for reaching out. We think the considerable difference is, as an annual subscriber, you're going to get a beautiful, PRINT 200+ page edition of the work done here- that's obviously not something you get at the free level. Also, you'll get the full digital version of the entire sourcebook, which is more than the comics and contains a lot of material we've never shown on the site. And we have a lot more coming, in terms of interactive and community features that will always only be for paid subscribers.

The other thing to consider- we do want to use this experiment to help make comics more accessible to a broader audience (and we're not alone on that- see Brian K. Vaughan and Niko Henrichon's SPECTATORS or LOVE EVERLASTING by Elsa Charretier and Tom King here on Substack). Your support is what makes that possible, and we thank you for it!

Most of what I was promised as a founder doesn’t even start within the first year. Why would I re subscribe

Being a founder has given some very cool perks. Very excited for C2E2

I think that is my ONE fear about all this. I love this universe and the creators are my favorite in the entire comic world! But..this is no Marvel, DC, or Image powerhouse. It's supported by 100% fans and nothing more. I like to think that will be enough for years of content! But fans are changeable creatures. Relying on us 100% is a scary prospect.

Jerome Opena! My favorite modern comics artist! Very excited for that. Also, wanted to mention I picked up the Decorum HC (even after getting the singles as they were releasing), and I have to say it's one of the nicest and best quality books I own (and I have more than a few lol) The feel of the cover, the pages that don't get wavy as soon as you touch 'em, all really show the care and attention put in. It's appreciated, and will be keep me comin' back for more. Lookin' forward to all the 3W/3M content, and especially the physical goods. Thank you!

I've been so thrilled with the journey. I've learned so fucking much. It is beyond worth the price of admission. Seeing how you guys work has persuaded me to push myself harder to get things made.
