Ah so here is the mention of the Esperanto naming convention! I found the continued use of "-o" nouns very jarring. Every new noun introduced in the comic that is other than English is the Super-o Cool-o Thing-o. But it seems to be a design decision with a pay-off apparently. I'll just chew through it like Cheeri-o's, and see where we get with this.

I’m happy Jonathan is of the mind that everything is cyclical; even religion. I ironically just met the creator of Firestorm, Al Milgrom recently. Great guy! (Yes, the original Al). Firestorm is one of my favorites so please do play on that idea for Zuva! (Someone needs to give Firestorm the classic storyarc he/they deserve(s)!!!! Long overdue!!!

Idk if this is too late, but I had a thought based on the Mining comic. The fengro de dioj is similar to the Hindu bindi, and in other fantasy settings, is similar to marks of apostasy (think the brand of Tranquility in Dragon Age, or the long history of human branding) - which could tie into whatever the "Apostate Prince" is. Maybe the priests of Khor repurposed what was originally a badge of dishonor into one of pride. Getting back to the Hinduism connection, maybe the water god could be inspired by a Hindu god like Ravana, or maybe that would be too on the nose. I think a more interesting inspiration could be derived from Buddhism, or specifically Slavoj Zizek's criticisms of "Western Buddhism", which could tie into the capitalist hell that is Akva.
