Mike del mundo wierdworld style. If not here maybe in the magic section. I would love to see maybe a mini collection with each book focusing on a different part like the first one could be the gods, the second part could be the religious places, etc... and in magic it could be important magic users or creatures (I could see something like a golem of Khor) and then spells and magic instruments. Just some ideas keep up the good wok!
I definitely agree it should be more illustrated than sequential. Ideally for me, it'd actually be Iconic in the Orthodox religious sense. Perhaps someone like Valentine Smith?
Pepe Larraz would be my first choice ... Beyond that maybe Peach Momoko ... Pepe would be classical and so lush while Peach might be more mythological and jarring.
Loving all the suggestions in this thread. I will also suggest the likes of Liam Sharp, Tradd Moore, Riccardo Federici, Olivier Coipel, Matteo Scalera, Greg Tocchini, and more I’m sure!
I like the idea of Ardar and Xaos being intercessor-subgods to Vadis. That people pray to one or the other in lieu of a direct appeal to Vadis, who is too busy to hear them out. Maybe a cool idea would be that some people start to worship the subgods instead of Vadis and in practice ignore the theological hierarchy, kind of like deifying the prophet above the actual god. And in so doing, their religion becomes science or magic, as opposed to what the religion originally was supposed to be about.
If you didn't already have Christian Ward working on a comic I'd say he was the perfect pick. Martin Simmonds or Chris Shehan could also definitely pull it off
Suggestions for illuminated bible comic:
JH Williams
Stephanie Hans
Dave McKean
Peter Gross
or…
Mike Huddleston
2nd JH Williams. He'd be perfect for this!
JH Williams
Tradd Moore
Gene Ha
And obviously Mike Del Mundo or Christian Ward
I think if you’re gonna do a sorta “Bible” comic you should tap one of two people
JH Williams III
or
Phil Jimenez
And after seeing what Jimenez did on Wonder Woman Historia I think it could look spectacular.
Both would be so fun to see!
Rod Reis or Bilquis Evely
Evely is a very cool choice.
Artists that have a more "graphic" style than the usual? Then my suggestions are Tradd Moore and Peach Momoko

Nick Robles. He's always my answer.

Liam Sharp would be awesome.

Seconding a Tradd Moore suggesting, but also suggesting Paolo Rivera keeping in mind his cover for Black Panther #8
Some illuminated bible suggestions:
Jon Muth circa Sandman #74 could be a great choice for an early/proto bible.
Adam Pollina's work on the Angel mini (specifically the covers) shows how wonderful his work could be when applied to this idea.
Javier Rodríguez has done some amazing work re: archetypes in his and Al's Defenders mini.
JH Williams III is always a great choice (thinking specifically of Promethea, but really it is all gold).
But I think my top vote would go to BIlquis Evely. Her work demands that you slow down and take in every detail!
IMO Marco Rudy has a very dreamy style that meshed well with the religious overtures. Heavy on the painting
