Incredibly cool structure. Love the way Tini took “elemental magic” and rebuilt it into something completely new to fit the overall dynamic of 3W3M.

Tini had me hook, line and sinker until “ WATER: IATRAL/PSYCHAL MAGIC”. It feels like the ability to achieve emptiness should control that magic, personally. Emptiness of fear, passion, empathy, awareness, humanity, etc.. The ability to build could come from the practice of”being more robotic (and less emotional and human) in nature”? Idk. All i do know is that I felt like she knew what she meant but confused the hell outta me regarding the schools of water versus earth. Sacral/Fire made complete sense. I’m gonna need to re-read this. I must be dumbing down for the night.

A better name for the ‘3 elemental forces’ might be ‘3 core essential forces’?

So excited to dig into this!

Cool to see Tini really embrace the cycles which seems to be a major theme in the overall vision for this universe. This was all really fun to read and I'm excited to see Hickman's annotations.

Amazing! Really love the idea of magic untethered from the gods, much more fun in my opinion. I'm still trying to wrap my head around this though -

"Each ‘minor’ elemental force and their relationships with the ‘major’ elemental forces. The inherent push-pull duality in these nine relationships creates the forces of magic."

I've been staring at the graphic for a while and I'm still perplexed. Any help?

It’s kind of explained in the 9 schools. The combo of an element and a planet/moon creates the type of magic user the person is. I think.
