The stars shine for everyone across the Three Worlds and Three Moons, but given their majesty, maybe they really shine for the VOJOGONTO. Enjoy this marvelous map featuring our favorite space whale and a sea of stars, illustrated by Chasing Artwork.
Standard machine travel beyond the respective moon belts and asteroid ranges of Therra, Akva, and Fayrii is virtually impossible due to the Mallumia Matero Storm Fields that populate our local system.
Therefore – unless one wants to risk annihilation traveling by machine – making the journey safely between the Three Worlds must be one aboard one of the Living Cities of the VOJOGONTO.
The Vojogonto move ceaselessly between planets, resting only for a short while between trips. These migratory patterns have been carefully studied and can now be forecast with near-certain reliability.
It is rumored, but unconfirmed, that the unnatural union between the Kuratori Majestic – the servant-navigators who man and maintain these living cities – and the Vojogonto has resulted in the former possessing knowledge that lies beyond the Institute. If they do know the reason that the Vojogonto travel between the planets, so far it is a secret they keep to themselves.
The Vojogonto predate all known life in the universe and remain the greatest single source of inquiry to the Institute. All Institute attempts at action against / interaction with the Vojogonto have failed due to the safeguarding of the Kuratori Majestic and the creatures’ own seeming imperviousness to harm.
Members of THE CIRCLE and Annual subscribers who signed up prior to the cutoff will get a beautiful printed copy of the book with their subscription (plus shipping). THE CIRCLE members will receive a deluxe hardcover edition with bookplate, while Annual subscribers will receive a deluxe softcover edition. Both editions will match the format of [SYSTEMS] and are wrapped in a lushly designed cover by our own Sasha E Head.
Each day brings us a little closer to getting [MAPS] in your hands, and we can’t wait!
Y’all remember when ‘Transit’ dropped? (Almost 2 years ago!) Man that was such an exciting release to read. Def a highlight for me on this fun ride we’re all on.
