Let’s now turn our attention to Akva, and a brand new illustration from [MAPS] by our own Mike Huddleston. This is an image of Khor Mining as only he can bring to life…
At the heart of Akva is Khor, the glowing cold fusion/magically conducive material that powers everything in the Solsitemo. Akva is the most accessible place to find Khor, where it can be captured/distilled/refined when it bubbles off the planet’s exotic mantle and cools in the surrounding liquid.
Khor is the most valuable thing in the universe, making Akva the wealthiest world.
Raw Khor is highly volatile, and the mining of it is inherently dangerous. Mining operations involved sophisticated tools to detect and target Donacoj de Dio, otherwise known as Khor ejection sites. Mining operations are highly efficient, with Khor waste roughly estimated at less than half a percent.
This image joins 12 amazing comics, maps, concept art and world-building in the pages of the [MAPS] Graphic Novel Sourcebook.
