Sounds like we need a 'why not both.gif'

Have to say cbz download is the best option for anyone not on apple's ecosystem.

Both options sounds like it's the best coverage for everyone's preferences. I personally prefer .pdf format. Also, I'm curious if it's possible to have the double-spread pages as one "page", as the gorgeous artwork and design work being halved hurts my heart lol

Excited to read the final chapter. The story/art/execution is next level.

PDFs/CBR files always please. I want to be able to read in the app of my choice where I have things set up as I like them. Also as an Android user I can't even get Panels.

Score! Excited to have a digital copy of Decorum #1! Easily my favorite art I’ve ever seen in a comic book. Panels iOS reader works pretty well but it’s a shame it doesn’t have panel by panel mode (maybe it’s a feature for paying customers?) Happy to see the continued focus on improving this experience.

Definitely both, internet is sending the wrong kind of vibes these days… redundancy is paramount.

Sincerely one of my favorite indie series to come out recently, sad to see it end but I’m so ready for 3W3M!

I used CBZ on an Android, and other than the splash pages being cut in half it was a pretty smooth reading experience.

But what I really wanted to say was "hot damn!"

That issue was stunning and now I want to read the rest.

Decorum is a great piece of work. You killed my favorite character off in the first issue though. Lol! Sorry to see it come to such an abrupt end. I was at issue 6 when I heard it was stopping so I will wait until #8 is out to read the rest. Thank you for the digital copy of #1! If the Dogfighters are as cold as those robotic conquistadors storming the beach, I’ll be hyped. Btw, what is the actual name of that character (robot conquistador)?

Being an non-iOS person, CBZs please. If people prefer PDF, then keep both PDF and CBZ. But if you have to choose between the two format, I would highly request to keep CBZ, please.

PDFs are always a little more clunky than cbz. I have to say I really like the smoothness of panels and how pages flow from one page to the next. I can read either, but panels is a more enjoyable experience

I think having both panels and the PDF is the best option, since panels is only avaible on IOS.

Hi Jonathan, love your work and digging 3W/3M. Thank you for the update on Decorum. I understand that the creative process can take time and I hate to pester like A Song of Ice and Fire fan, lol. But for the sake of just asking would you want to update us on the The Dying and the Dead, The Black Monday Murders, and is The Manhattan Projects done.

Also have you ever thought about tackling Miracleman?

So… format feedback! (I do software QA for a living, so this is right up my alley.)

I took a look at the CBZ file and PDF, and the only note I have is that it looks like the bleed area of the pages was included. Which… is probably not even relevant for 3W3M comics, since they are being made initially for digital comics instead of print ones. But FYI? (It is also benign for this Decorum comic in most spots, it just means that where there are splash pages/panels/graphics, there is a duplicated sliver of art at the page split, such as at pgs 18-19. For the other spots where this occurs, it can come across like it’s part of the design at least.)

I’ll probably take a look at the comic in Panels tomorrow... (my personal device is not an iOS one, but I do have an old iPhone I can use, which I am currently updating…)

My two cents on which formats to publish:

As some heathen who didn’t have a CBZ reader installed on my computer prior to today (and the one I did install is apparently pretty buggy), I appreciated that you had a PDF option as well. So I am team CBZ & PDF for the non-iOS options (but I wouldn’t be mad if CBZ was the only non-iOS option).

First time user on Panels, worked well, although despite the name there is no panel view. Paid tier maybe? It’s a nice option though. Love the book as well. Definitely want to check out the 2nd issue now.
