[DISPATCH] Final MAPS Comic Incoming, Summit Video
The final [MAPS] story arrives this week, plus a Creative Summit recap and [THE COMPETITION] news.
Welcome to a new installment of the [DISPATCH], a weekly direct report from us to you, with news, recaps, exclusive content and more.
Today we’re looking forward and backward, talking about what’s next, looking at what just happened, and how all of it positions us for the incredibly exciting future we’re blazing a path toward.
Let’s start with the forward part, and something you’ve all been waiting for. This week, we’ll be releasing the final comic from the pages of the upcoming [MAPS] Graphic Novel Sourcebook. And in addition to it being the twelfth and final story from the second 3W/3M Sourcebook, it’s extra special because it marks our own Jonathan Hickman’s return to sequential art.
Jonathan is no stranger to drawing his own comics, but this is the first story he’s drawn (and colored, and lettered) for 3W/3M, and the art is both incredible and unlike anything we’ve done thus far. You’re gonna love it!
The story takes place on the moon of Kaoso, and it’ll be available exclusively for all paid subscribers. If you want to read it and the 11 other comics contained in [MAPS], along with everything else we’ve published so far, you should:
3 Worlds / 3 Moons is a reader-supported initiative. If you like what we’re doing and want to get access to great comics, events, exclusive merch and discounts from EMPORIA, and want more from us, please:

Now it’s time to look back and forward at the same time.
Last month, the 3 Worlds / 3 Moons team headed to New York for an NYCC Meet-Up event with members of THE CIRCLE, and for the latest 3W/3M Creative Summit. We signed a ton of prints for you, hosted a Livestream from the Summit where we took questions from the community, and previously shared photos from the events – but we’ve still got one more thing to show you.
Our pal Garth Smith from CRE8IVE FRONT put together this great recap video for us, where you can hear from Jonathan Hickman, Mike Huddleston, and Mike del Mundo, and see footage from both the Summit and the Meet-Up.
Even if you couldn’t make it out for the Meet-Up to hang with us in person, we hope you enjoy this. And you’ll definitely be enjoying the fruits of our labors from the Summit in the coming months and years ahead.
And now, let’s look back at the week that was…
[Q&A] We spoke with Editrix Maxima Molly Mahan about settling into her role, and she brought along brand new art, reading recommendations, hints about future stories, and Halloween costume photos. Don’t sleep on this one.
[THE COMPETITION] We crowned not one but three winners of [THE COMPETITION] earlier this year, and we’ve shared the first draft of each of their full-length scripts with you.
With the final [MAPS] story arriving this week, we have some big – and we mean BIG – news coming soon after. Because next week is Thanksgiving here in the States, we’re going to skip [DISPATCH] to focus on [THE COMPETITION]. We’ll be sharing our feedback on the winners’ scripts, one each day, ahead of the holiday.
After that… buckle up. You can expect some long-awaited updates, surprises, and lots of excitement from here through the end of the year.
Trust us, you’re not going to want to miss out!
Fun look at the summit, thanks for sharing!
SO glad that Jonathan is doing art for this! Always love seeing his stuff!
