I'm not sure why I was surprised by the statue moving out of the hall, but I was. I just stared at the scene for an extended period. Excellent design on the unicorn-goose-deathfly.
I love Academy, I love the Process, and the comics that came from the sourcebooks. But this, The Vallars, feels like the story we've been waiting for. Phenomenal stuff team.
Yes! More bat guano craziness in the last 4 pages than most comics manage in a year. Giant angry statues/ancestors/gods discussing policy! Vomit mosquito spy drones! Childhood bedroom trapdoors! It feels like Thursdays don't come fast enough. Between this and Academy on Sundays, I am loving the weekly serials. What will it take to get a different weekly serial every day of the week?
