UNDYING LOVE

Wanted to do a post about Tomm Coker and Daniel Freedman’s kickstarter for the Undying Love Hardcover. It’s almost a certainty that most of you either don’t have a copy of the regular trade of this book or, considering that it came out some time ago, probably didn’t even know it existed. But man, you should...because this thing is just gorgeous.

I’m an unabashed Tomm Coker fan and when this first hit, it was right after he had done Daredevil Noir and 5 Ronin (the Wolverine one) for Marvel. This dude was just absolutely cooking at the time -- and swear to god, every single page was a masterpiece.

It was pretty much that run of books (along with an issue of The Ride [#7!!]) that spurred me on to call him up and beg him to do a book with me called The Black Monday Murders (which is not too bad).

So, below is some art for Undying Love and the press release, and if you have a couple bucks to throw toward the project, you’ll not only get a hell of a book out of it, but if the project goes well, we’ll all be funding the long-promised final volume. Which I really, really want to read.

And yes, Tomm is settling all family business (me too!). So after he finishes up Undying Love, he and I are putting the wraps on the last two issues of Black Monday Murders (to join the completed but not yet published #9 and #10) -- it’s good news all around.
