Now’s let’s witness Mike Huddleston’s latest creation, a magnificent scene set on Ordo featuring the The Tower.
At the center of Ordo sits The Tower. Composed of nine rings on a spire, it sits directly above The Machine, and is crowned by a conductive Khor output. Each ring houses a scientific undertaking selected by a Sovereign, one for each province, typically reflecting the most pressing concern of each populace.
The hierarchy of rings on the tower matters as well. Rings closer to the moon’s surface indicate the project has the machine’s most direct attention. A ring sitting at the top of the spire means it has been prioritized for energy/resource expenditure.
The rings are constantly shifting in position, and in this way act as an indirect proxy for the provincos’ favor with the Menso Masinos.
The Tower illustration joins 12 amazing comics, maps, concept art, and world-building that will all appear in [MAPS].
THE CIRCLE and Annual subscribers who signed up prior to the cutoff will receive a beautiful printed copy of the book with their subscription (plus shipping). THE CIRCLE members will receive a deluxe hardcover edition with a signed and numbered bookplate, while Annual subscribers will receive a deluxe softcover edition. Both editions will match the format of [SYSTEMS].
Next week, even more [MAPS]!
Excited to see the stories and ideas you all explore with the rings!
The rings are constantly shifting in position? Awesome!
