Now, let’s welcome the newest contributors…
Meghan Hetrick is a “drawer of all things” specializing in fantasy and superhero projects. She has worked across comic books, video games, and fine art, with notable projects including RED THORN for Vertigo, the recent DC/Rooster Teeth crossover DC/RWBY, and covers for nearly every major publisher.
Her story takes place on Therra, and we’ve shared some samples of her work below:
Peter Krause has worked as a comic artist for more than three decades, as well as working as a storyboard artist. Some of his most notable comic works include POWER OF SHAZAM!, METROPOLIS: SPECIAL CRIMES UNIT, and STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION for DC Comics. Two of his collaborations with writer Mark Waid, IRREDEEMABLE and DAREDEVIL: ROAD WARRIOR received Eisner nominations. Most recently, he has worked on titles including ARCHIE: 1941, DRAGONFLY AND DRAGONMAN, and BLACKING OUT.
Peter will be visiting the moon of Ordo for his story. You can check out some of his work below:
Brent Schoonover is a Midwestern Man of Mystery, a comic book artist and illustrator whose work has spanned comics, editorial illustrations, and packaging assignments with an intriguing blend of retro stylings and contemporary influences. Some of his notable works include DEVIL’S HIGHWAY for AWA, CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE GHOST ARMY, HOWLING COMMANDOS OF S.H.I.E.L.D., BATMAN ‘66, and more.
Brent will also be spending some time on Therra for his story. Here’s a selection of his work:
The remaining [MAPS] stories featuring these stellar artists and more will be headed your way soon.
We’ll be hosting a brand-new Live Draw this Friday, June 9. We’ll reveal all the details for you later this week, but just know that this one is going to be our best yet, featuring not one but two very special guests. We’re thrilled to have them joining us, and we hope you’ll do the same. See you Friday!
[COMICS] Artist Jason Howard and colorist Frank Martin crushed another exciting episode of THE VALLARS, the first ongoing series from 3W/3M. If you want to see Tajo and Ethina getting into trouble and an ominous future for Arlo, last week’s episode can’t be beat. Catch up on the whole series HERE.
[SERIAL] The adult Tajo continues to march across the Kaoso moon alongside Syg the Stag, and the latest installment of our weekly Sunday serial, ACADEMY, was brought to you as always by the stunning art and colors of Steve Epting.
[WORLDS WORTH WATCHING] On Saturday we got the whole team together, with you, to hang out and watch Luc Besson’s 1997 sci-fi classic, THE FIFTH ELEMENT. It’s always a treat to dissect masterful world building, share our thoughts, and hear what you have to say about the movies. We’ve got a lengthy list of films planned for future editions of WWW, but let us know in the comments if there’s a movie you want us to check out together. (Bonus points if it’s something we haven’t already seen.)
We’ve got another great week planned for you with new comics and a Live Draw you won’t want to miss featuring some very special guests. Stay tuned!
Question! Sourcebook 1 heavily featured a lot of the world building through the text which was great, can we expect more of that in Sourcebook 2?
