[DISPATCH] There Can Be Only One
We unveil our next [WORLDS WORTH WATCHING] selection, a tease of things to come, and more!
Happy Monday, and welcome back to the [DISPATCH], a weekly direct report from us to you, with news, recaps, exclusive content and more.
If you haven’t checked out last week’s new [MAPS] story, THE DRIFT, you’re missing out on some fantastic art from James Stokoe, who also colored and lettered the story. And don’t forget you can visit The Index any time to catch up on every comic we’ve released to date, plus [PROCESS] posts, Live Draw recordings, and more!
A reminder that 3 Worlds / 3 Moons is a reader-supported initiative. If you like what we’re doing and want to get access to great comics, events, exclusive merch and discounts from EMPORIA, and want more from us, please:

The time has come for a brand new [WORLDS WORTH WATCHING], where we pick a movie that we think is a great example of world-building, then we watch it together at an appointed time, with you. The 3W/3M team provides commentary, jokes, and trivia, and we usually have some special guests drop by.
You gave us some great suggestions for our next watch over on Chat, but in the end… there can be only one.
We’re stepping away from the sci-fi worlds we’ve been exploring to turn our attention to a fantasy action-adventure film, 1986’s HIGHLANDER, directed by Russell Mulcahy.
He fought his first battle on the Scottish Highlands in 1536.
He will fight his greatest battle on the streets of New York City in 1986.
His name is Connor MacLeod.
He is immortal.
WHEN: Saturday, AUGUST 26. Starting the film promptly at 3pm EASTERN / 12pm PACIFIC.
HOW IT WORKS: We’ll send a Chat thread out shortly before the start time. We’ll be posting in the comments there as we watch. You’re encouraged to do the same.
HIGHLANDER is streaming on Amazon Prime Video, and is available for rent or purchase on Apple TV and Amazon.
This event is for premium subscribers only, so if you haven’t already:

And now, let’s revisit the week that was…
[Q&A] We spoke with the inimitable James Stokoe about his process, his past work, and of course his brand new [MAPS] story.
[COMICS] Last week saw not one but two new comics for you!
The latest [MAPS] story is now live! THE DRIFT features art, colors, and letters by James Stokoe, and it’ll haunt you in all the right ways.
Episode 13 of THE VALLARS featured yet more glorious art by the superstar creative team of Jason Howard and Frank Martin, and things are really reaching a fever pitch!
[PROCESS] We heard from both Mike Huddleston and Mike del Mundo about the design work that went into making THE DRIFT a reality, and there’s some beautiful location and character work for you to check out right now.
And because we appreciate you showing up for each and every post and staying until the end, here’s a no-context tease of some cool things we’ve been working on for you.
More soon!
I love it. The following weekend can we do “Worlds Worth Watching Are Subsequently Destroyed” and screen Highlander 2 to see how an unnecessary sequel can get everything so incredibly wrong?
"I am Juan Sánchez Villalobos Ramírez, Chief metallurgist to King Charles V of Spain. And I'm at your service." Love it, can't wait!
