Last week we made some major announcements about two upcoming projects:
SHIFT, a 64-page original graphic novel written by Jonathan Hickman with art and colors by Mike del Mundo.
ARRIVALS, a 96-page massively oversized introductory issue written by Jonathan Hickman and Nick Spencer with art and colors by Mike Huddleston and a number of special guests.
We’re going to have a lot more to share about both of these in the coming days, but for now we want to address one of the first questions we know many of you will have: will these be available in print?
The answer is obviously yes. These stories will be serialized first right here at 3w3m.com- but we love making beautiful books you can hold in your hand, as well.
That’s why, today, we’re announcing 3W/3M [ONE].
3W/3M [ONE] is intended to serve as the ultimate starting point for our new universe, a standalone volume that introduces you to the core concepts, characters, and conflicts, no other reading required.
It collects not just [SHIFT] and [ARRIVALS], but also an expanded edition of [FOUNDATIONS]- which will now include BREATHE, the follow-up story we did with art by the great Jerome Opeña.
It will be available in two formats: a 200-page deluxe hardcover, or as a prestige collector’s set of three standalone editions. Both formats will feature the incredible design work of Sasha E Head, and will be printed at European dimensions to the high standard you’ve come to expect from us.
We’re so excited for this book because of what it represents: the culmination of all the universe-building we’ve done, and the launch point for a whole new era of stories. This volume marks a new beginning for this entire endeavor, and the perfect jumping on point for everyone looking to join us.
Tomorrow, we’ll have some very big news to share about exactly how you can get this book. But in the meantime, rest assured, if you’re a member of THE CIRCLE or an annual subscriber at the time of release, 3W/3M [ONE] is coming your way, in print.
Keep an eye out tomorrow morning for that next announcement!
Very cool. It feels like the expanded Foundations needs Academy, too, but maybe that’s slated for the eventual [TWO].
Is the Prestige Collectors Set part of the [CIRCLE] benefits?
